Posture and Movement

The Postural and Movement Assessments are performed, to look for muscle imbalances. Muscle imbalances cause poor posture and poor movement, which can result in injury and they just don’t look nice; such as rounded shoulders, forward head or a ‘slouchy’ rear.

Muscle imbalances occur, when some muscles are too tight (or strong) and other, mostly opposing muscles are to loose (or weak).

When there is a large muscle imbalance present, the muscles actually PULL the bones, causing poor posture and poor movement. Injury often results from muscles not working in balance together ; beautiful posture and movement , occurs when they do.
